Program News
We have made number of changes to the structure of the SAI team in 2011. Over the years we have realized that we need strong support in Vancouver throughout the year and especially while the team is teaching in Kenya . Therefore, from this year on, we will be recruiting for Vancouver-based as well as Nairobi-travelling team. The Vancouver-based team will be lead by Kathy Hadley, SAI 2010 Alumni. The 2011 team was selected and you can read their short bios here.

Profiles
This part of the Newsletter will be dedicated to our activities, team members, students, alumni and donors. Each month you will find a profile of a different activity or a person who has played an important part in our program. Today, we would like to introduce you to our new teaching and consulting modules, which are going to be provided to the Kenyan Youth after the core module, SE101: The Core has been completed:

Fundraising Efforts
The FUNdraising season is in full bloom and we will have a column fully dedicated to our fundraising efforts and events.

Fundraising is a critical activity for achieving success of the Sauder Africa Initiative. It helps us to connect our project to the communities in Vancouver and Nairobi, provides everything needed in the classroom, and raises seed money for our youth entrepreneurs. The total amount fundraised by the 2010 Team represented approximately $20,155.

Check out our web for any upcoming events or contact us any time at info@africa.sauder.ubc.ca if you want to be updated on which fundraiser is coming up. Your attendance will not only help our project but you will also have a great possibility to meet interesting people and broaden your network.

What's Up World?
This section of our newsletter is dedicated to interesting articles, discussions, videos, etc. about social entrepreneurship, international development and similar topics that could be interesting for you to read. This month's selections are:
